Sticky Hands & Faces: Mickey, Goofy, and Donald! Oh, my!

Well, Halloween is officially over. The costumes are off, there are bags of candy and candy wrappers everywhere, and Sam is on a major sugar high.

Let’s jump back a week. My time was filled with sewing machines, scissors, my trusty glue gun, and cereal boxes. Yes, cereal boxes. (Believe it or not, I use them to make the internal structure for hats, ears, etc. It works REALLY well!) Our kitchen table had been converted into the sewing room temporarily. After many hours of sewing (during nap time, of course) the costumes were finished! And, last night was the reveal (how appropriate, it being Halloween and all). At dusk, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy strolled out of the house. Sam made bank for his first time trick-or-treating! Several people were very generous and gave him double or triple the candies. It was a lot of fun to go as a family, and a lot of fun to go as a group of Disney characters. Mike was even dubbed “the youngest trick-or-treater” at one house. This was one eventful Halloween.
